I am an illustrator, graphic artist, photographer and actor.
Between image-making and my work in the performing arts, I count myself lucky to be able to cast the net wide. My illustration and design work see-saws between the high and low brow - drawing on influences like classic cinema, the swinging 60s, exiled writers, comic books and 1970’s Saturday morning cartoons – it all goes in the gumbo.
I mainly work in the digital realm (Photoshop & Illustrator) but I also break out the ink and gouache occasionally. I have created work for corporations, apps, theatre companies, book covers, improv groups, zines, comic collections - as well as personal commissioned pieces.
My photography is the curation of my fascinations. I found the work of Hungarian-born French photographer Brassaï early in my life and, along with Henri Cartier Bresson, I had the blueprint for my black and white world. I love the streets of Melbourne and the seemingly random ‘lucky draw’ of insights that it provides. I work in both digital and film.
